I decided to start with the internet and I came across Anchor Associates. At first, it appeared like most other realty websites until I came across one apartment and the title caught my eye. Recently my fiance and I were on the hunt for an apartment in Manhattan and even though we had some idea what we wanted, we still had no idea where to look. I want what I want when I want it. I had a list of requirements, and I would not budge. My roommate also had a list, and when you held up said lists next to each other, we clearly had different priorities, and the apartment likely didn''t exist in New York City. To top it off, I was searching for my first Manhattan apartment after renting a room (and after a recent move from California). To say Aaron has his hands full with me (and my much sweeter and cooperative roommate) would be a gross understatement.

When I first filled out an interest form online, Aaron called me within two minutes -- and it was 930 on a Friday night. While I teased him, I was impressed -- he was clearly committed to his career. I rolled my eyes at his greeting, "This is Aaron Seawood, your favorite broker," but within a few minutes, he WAS my favorite broker. (Mind-reading: yet another service Aaron provides.)

Aaron found my dream apartment (a feat in itself), in the budget we set forth (an even bigger feat), and ensured my roommate was on cloud nine, too. He negotiated deposit, price, and made it clear that at the end of our lease, he would help negotiate yet again. I honestly didn''t think the apartment was out there, but Aaron delivered. I trusted him so much that I submitted an application for said dream apartment when I was in California visiting family, even before seeing the apartment. When I arrived back to the city, we visited the apartment, and he was right -- it was perfect.

Aaron not only met all my demands, he did so with a smile, making me laugh, calming me down, and keeping the peace between me and the [really obnoxious] leasing agent at the apartment building we decided on. The process, while potentially painful, exhausting, and where homicide was probable, was actually painless, energizing, and didn''t result in anyone''s life ending, or any black eyes. And that''s something.

Aaron did such an outstanding job finding my current apartment I don''t plan on moving any time in the next decade, but I still keep him on speed dial. People move in NYC weekly, and upon hearing their plans, I immediately say, "Do you have a broker? I know a great one. You do? Mine is better. Promise. Call him. Now." Or, "You don''t? Excellent, here''s his info. Call him. Now."

In Aaron you not only have a kick ass broker who''s looking out for your best interest, and has the knowledge to back it up, you also have a friend. Call him. Now.

Having never lived in New York City before, the task of apartment hunting was a bit daunting but Aaron really was our superhero. While scrolling through the overwhelming lists of apartments online with my brother (who I would be sharing the place with) I blindly gave Aaron a call, thinking "maybe he can point us in the right direction."

Within a short hour of leaving a voicemail he called back and it all began to click. Aaron spent over a half an hour on the phone with me, a type of individual attention I never would have expected. We spent time really getting to know each other. It was very important to Aaron that he 100% understood what I was looking for. What were the musts, what were the extras, what were the deal-breakers, who I was living with etc. After our first conversation I remember feeling so comfortable and confident.

When the day came to check out the places, Aaron could not have been more professional or more of a pleasure to be around. Picking us up with a luxury car and driver made us feel so important too! When Aaron promised to eliminate any places that he knew couldn''t work with us and tailor our search, we could not have anticipated how right he would be. We never felt like any place we saw was a waste of our time. It was more of an experience like "all of these could work......now which one feels right and will work the best for us," proving Aaron really listened to us and really cared.

In the end, Aaron knew what we needed even more than we did ourselves. While having a couple favorite places in mind from the morning, he suggested one last place he knew we would really like. It was in an area that we hadn''t really considered and didn''t know much about. While hesitant for a second, we put our faith in Aaron and headed to check it out. It''s a great thing we did because that''s where we live now! The space was perfect, the price was reasonable, the amenities were wonderful and the location turned out to be a perfect ft for us! We never would have found this place on our own. Aaron even drove us around the area so we could get out bearings and explore our new neighborhood.

Aaron was incredible from start to finish. For anyone looking for a place in the city, I couldn''t praise him enough. He takes out all the guess work, the stress and celebrates with you when you find the apartment of your dreams. I couldn''t be happier in my new apartment. In fact, I know I will calling on him again when finding my next NYC apartment!

I called Zsolt on a Thursday evening after a demoralizing visit to several apartments that cost too much and were not at all what I wanted. I moved to the new apt on Jan 19, and I love the place!
Noise from outside is really minimal, and it''s actually very quiet. Much quieter than I thought it would be. It might get noisy in morning/evening rush hours, but I''ve never experienced it myself yet, and normally it''s very quiet.
The unit has so many closets, and I''m not going to have any issue with storage (although I haven''t unpacked fully...).
The view is nice and it''s actually a NW corner unit, I believe. My living rm has two windows facing north & west, and I can see Hudson River from my west windows, which I didn''t notice when I went to see the unit first time with you.
People working in the building are very very very nice, too. Building manager gave me a call as soon as I notified them that I have an issue using home phone (it was actually phone company''s set up issue, not building''s.). Super comes in as soon as I make repair request and fix everything very quickly. Doormen came to open the door whenever they see me carrying big or heavy stuff. One of them actually nearly tripped himself because he was in such a hurry to get the door.
And the unit is very comfortable to live in. It''s really made well & considering how to make the people who live in the unit comfortable.
And it''s going to reduce my monthly rent by approx $1,000, which is huge! I can use that saving somewhere better than paying rent.
I just wanted to say thank you again for introducing the apt to me. It''s really the best apt.

I felt compelled to write a testimonial for Aaron Seawood after my recent experience. I’ve grown up in New York my whole life and lived in Manhattan for the past five years. After losing a sub-lease to the owners of the unit in my previous Midtown address, I decided I wanted to make a move back to the Upper East Side. Aaron is the proverbial needle in the haystack. I was wary of using a broker after hearing horror stories from other friends, but from the very first minute I spoke with Aaron I knew I was in good hands. After our first phone conversatiom I called my boyfriend and I said, "I''m pretty sure my broker is fucking awesome." On top of all of these things, Aaron is an absolute joy to be around. He can put a smile on your face no matter what the circumstances. Dear Mr. Schultz;

This note is much too belated, but please do not let that be a reflection of how appreciative we are of Eyal and his admirable effort in finding us a place to live. I first contacted Eyal in March of this year; I also contacted about 20 other brokers. Eyal was not the first to respond, but he was the most polite, intelligent, and relaxed of all the brokers with whom I spoke. I work in commercial real estate and know my fair share of brokers...and these characteristics are reserved to very few in the industry. Although we were nearly 2 and a half months early for our June move-out date, Eyal stuck with us and called to check in every few weeks until we could start looking.
Eyal had a tall order to find us a big, bright 3-bedroom apartment for an aggressively low rent. Even more to the point, we knew what we wanted and were not going to settle for less. To make it even harder, we ultimately gave him about two weeks to find it. Despite our initial constraints, our pickiness, and the unforeseen obstacles like irrational and unprofessional landlord reps, Eyal maintained a positive and comfortable outlook. I think it is most important to stress how comfortable he was and is. At no point do you feel like Eyal is manipulating you or forcing you into something you do not like. He is friendly, energetic, professional, and well-versed on the history and current status of the market.
Finally, we could not be happier in our current apartment in Riverbank West, and Eyal made the whole process far more pleasurable than we’d bargained for. While it has taken me a month to send along this note, I have talked up Eyal to everyone who would listen. We have, and will continue to recommend him to all of our friends and associates looking to rent or buy and apartment here in the city.

Although I can say “Thank you” many times, the words do not carry the deep gratitude and relief that I feel by knowing that my daughter has a great apartment in New York City. I feel that we were extremely fortunuate and that God answered my prayer by sending Scott Schiller in our direction. As I write this, I am currently the proud owner of my new apartment at Sterling Plaza for 1 week now, and I couldn’t be happier. I wanted to take some time to give credit where it’s due; namely to Eyal and Bill.

As I contemplated which brokerage house to go with, I decided on Anchor mostly because Bill was the first (and only) broker of the dozens I contacted to call me back in a timely manner. Although I had first met Bill months before I was ready to make my move, he patiently refined my search criteria over the summer. Bill was in almost daily contact with me even though we both knew that I would not be able to move for several more months. The Private Client web-page was very useful, and showed me what Bill had been doing for me on my be-half. I felt confident that I had made the right choice to go with Anchor.
Once I was ready to start viewing some apartments, Bill’s research paid-off. Eyal took the researched criteria and was excellent at taking me around the city for viewings. While I may not have liked everything I saw, I did not once feel that my time was being wasted. Eyal was professional at every turn, always able to point out flaws in a listing as well as the amenities in each case with tactful style and distinction.
When the decision was made to pursue a particular listing, I considered the job the Real Estate Broker to have been completed. However, Bill and Eyal continued to be my advocates against the ridiculous process for my new condo-board. There were several problems standing in the way of my closing, from the seller skipping town for a few weeks, to condo applications. As my frustration grew, Eyal and Bill’s resolve grew as well. They were with me right through to the end, quite literally as Eyal even came to my closing.
I am a Real Estate Broker myself. My family business has been in real estate since 1907. I have been around this business since I could walk, and I can say quite honestly that I meet over a hundred brokers a year. Eyal and Bill were did not just do their job well; rather they exceeded what I have come to expect from sales associates. When I spoke to Zsolt for the first time during the stressful period of looking for an apartment, I found him to exemplify qualities most New York brokers did not: friendliness, honesty, kindness, and a passion for finding his clients exactly waht they are looking for. Above all, Zsolt listened to our wants, needs, and limitations, and he found us the apartment of our dreams that ended up being cheaper than we had budgeted. Throughout the process, Zsolt maintained professionalism, integrity, and made apartment hunging/lease signing as minimally stressful as possible. Zsolt is the broker you should use if you have specifics in your head about
what your apartment should be. I gave Zsolt a specific list of what I
wanted (laundry, elevator, close to the 6 train) and he followed my "rules"
exactly, did not waste my time and was friendly none the less. During our
appointments there was no pressure to take the apartments, he did not
answer any one else's calls and always acted as if he was part of my team.
If you're going to pay a broker fee you might as well pay it to an honest,
genuine, supportive broker like Zsolt.

Dear Val,

I was referred to Zsolt from a friend of mine because I wanted to move into Manhattan, but wasn''t completely sure if it would be the best fit for me.
My friend''s advice to me was to write down a list of "must-haves" and the neighborhood I wish to live in along with a price range and send it to Zsolt.
Doubtful anything I was hoping for existed, I received a phone call with wonderful news that there were indeed places that met my expectations.
Zsolt showed me a few apartments around the financial district, each one being better than the next. The last apartment he showed me ended my apartment search.
It was almost as if Zsolt saved the best for last, knowing indeed it was meant for me. The place is absolutely charming and I''ve quickly grown quite accustomed to my new neighborhood.
I have referred Zsolt to anyone I have known beginning an apartment search in Manhattan. I think he is a fabulous broker, who is very understanding and not pushy.

Scott Schiller was our broker and helped my husband and I find the perfect new home. We had very specific needs as far as, neighborhood, amount of space, large dog, budget etc. and he only showed us places that were real
options. We found the apt. in a few days and moved in in less than 2
