Let me preface by saying that I have always wanted to live in Manhattan, its been a dream of mine for many years now. After living in Hoboken, NJ for several years I started searching for apartments to rent in Manhattan in January 2010. After working with a few brokers and searching nearly every inch of Manhattan, I decided to stay in Hoboken, but keeping my ultimate goal of living in Manhattan firmly in sight. At that time I saw many places, but was not very impressed with the brokers I was working with. The brokers were not listening to what I was telling them and kept trying to show me places that didn't fit my criteria, they wasted my time and I ended up getting very frustrated and gave up.

I re-started my search for a rental apartment and began working with Fanny Montalvo and and herthe team. I immediately knew I had found the right firm to work with as Fanny and her team made me feel very comfortable and really listened to me and what I wanted in an apartment. Throughout the search process I never felt like I was being pressured into leasing an apartment I didn't want, it was honestly very easy and straight forward from day 1 until closing. I ended up renting a furnished studio apartment in a new condo building in the Upper West Side. After renting for a year I decided that I wanted to purchase an apartment and called on Fanny again to assist in my search. I decided to purchase a unit in the same building I was renting in. I have owned several condo's in NJ over the years, but I can tell you that buying an apartment in Manhattan is a whole different ball game and not an easy process. Fanny and staff made the negotiation and closing process as painless as possible. I have referred a few friends to Fanny as I know they will be in good hands. Thank you Fanny, as you helped me fulfill a life long dream and I could not be happier.

Chris I wanted to thank you for all you''re help, you were awesome. I didn''t have much time to find a place and in 2 days you showed us the entire NY real estate market (not kidding). You listened and understood what I was looking for and didn''t stop until that was achieved. The process was smooth and easy and we actually had a good time even in the snow and rain. I never do this kind of thing, but after dealing with one of your agents for the past couple weeks, I just had to reach out and say how unbelievably amazing my experience was.
During my search for a new apartment, I had the extreme pleasure of working with Jeff Mills. I am not a cookie cutter case, so when I approached other brokers I was either laughed at, criticized, or made to feel as though finding something for me would be the most difficult task anyone has ever attempted. I started thinking all real estate agents in Manhattan were apathetic, arrogant, and/or just plain rude. But then I came across Jeff who, within days, found the apartment of my dreams. He understood my situation, worked with me to find out what I was looking for, and then delivered everything I could have possibly wished for.
It is not only the extreme expediency with which Jeff managed to find my ideal place that should be commended, though. He also showed me the utmost respect and courtesy throughout the entire process. Whether it was calling me at the times when it was convenient for me, taking me from the West Side to the East Side in one day to scope out potential tenancies, sitting in while I filled out my application, checking in with the building to see how the approval process was going, or sending me a congratulatory e-mail once the lease was signed, he was there every step of the way. For someone who has a very busy work life, I cannot put into words how much I appreciated his hard work and dedication to getting me set up with a new place to live.
This is not an easy industry, and I can tell Anchor takes pride in only hiring the most qualified and respectful professionals. Jeff not only stands up to those high standards, he shines above them. It was an absolute privilege to work with him in finding the place I can now call home, and I will forever be grateful that I met him.
