 Anchor Associates Celebrates Holidays in New York City

With the holiday season upon us, there is so much to see in New York City! Whether you’re living in New York or traveling to see the spectacular holiday events, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Anchor Associates wants to make sure you enjoy your holiday season so we want to share some fun holiday events in New York City!

Description: anchor radiocity.jpgIf it’s a show you’re looking for, NYC has tons of holiday shows! One of the most popular is the Radio City Christmas Spectacular featuring the Rockettes! This year the Rockettes are adding 3D and new technology to the show which you can see at Radio City Music Hall from November 11th-January 2nd. After the Rockettes you can check out The Nutcracker which is put on by the New York City Ballet at Lincoln center! This holiday show is sure to get you in the holiday spirit with shows from November 25th-December 31st! At the Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre, The Three bears Holiday Bash is a comedy show that you can go to from November 14th-December 30th. In this show, Santa and Little Bear tell stories about Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa!

Speaking of shows to see, Rockefeller Center lit the famous Christmas tree on November 30th! This tree is up and lit from November 30th-January 7th from 5:30am-11:30pm! While you’re at the tree, try ice skating under it! The Rockefeller Skating Rink is open all week for a beautiful day of skating while looking at the tree. Rockefeller Center isn’t the only place to see a well-decorated Christmas tree! Check out the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see their 20 foot tall tree decorated with 18th century angels and crèche figures! This tree will be up to see until January 8th.

Description: anchor associates.jpgHoliday lights are all over the city at this time of year! You can see palm trees lit up for the holidays at Winter Garden Holiday Lights! Don’t forget to check out Dyker Heights, where you can see over-the-top holiday decorations and light shows!

New York City is home to the World’s Largest Hanukkah Menorah! At Grand Army Plaza on 5th Avenue you can see the 32 foot tall, 2 ton candelabra which will be lit each night throughout Hanukkah! Celebrate here for free and enjoy the live music, chocolate gelt and hot latkes!
