After having spent almost 3 months in my new apartment, I am posting
my first review for my first renting experience through a broker on
Yelp. Zsolt Bene let me recognize how important and helpful a reliable
broker could be.

Manhattan is a crazy place, especially for real estate, and especially
for renting. Because it is renting, the interior layout is the value added part for the apartment. Exposed brick wall, marble bathroom with roof window, cherry hardwood floor, central park neighborhood and studio''s price for a one bed apartment - it was not a big surprise that the apartment already formed an application queue. With years of experience in real estate, Zsolt advised me to pull out all the
required documentation efficiently and prepared all the paperwork for
me in hours. When the pipeline got shorter because of the strict
qualifications, my application topped and Zsolt pushed it through.
2. aftermath deal
The trade-off between the apartment itself and the management company
could be a significant concern for the tenant, without the help from a
responsible broker. The management company incidentally (hopefully not
by purpose) billed me more than what we agreed two weeks ago.Impressed by the unreliable reputation of the management company, I was wondering if it was the rent raising. I called Zsolt immediately
when I saw the bill. As always, the call was answered - no matter
weekends or holidays, 7 am or 11 pm. The next business day I got the
email from Zsolt - "Your balance is $0.00; Your bills are up to
date.". The problem was solved, the wrong balance was revised in
accounting system of the management company within one day.
My great pleasure to work with Zsolt, a professional, efficient and
reliable broker. It is fun; it is easy.

My roommates and I had the pleasure of working with Zsolt "The Big Dog" He was incredible! He planned his entire day around our schedule; including both Saturdays and Sundays! Right from the get-go, we laid out the criteria we were looking for in our apartment and he went to work! He never pressured us into looking at vacant apartments that did not fulfill our criteria and he made the process entirely about us. Then, when we finally did find a place we liked, he negotiated with the landlord on our behalf in order to get us the most affordable prices! I recommend Zsolt Bene to any one even thinking about residing in an apartment in New York City.

Zsolt Bene is the best agent I've ever met. I've had a lot of experience with real estate agents, some good, some bad, but this has been phenomenal. He is very experienced and knowledgeable, but never pushy or sound like a salesman. Most of the time I would just do my research, send over a list of things that I want to see, and Zsolt would patiently do the work and help me filter out what I want, so that no time is wasted seeing places not as advertised. I have a day time job and can only afford an hour during lunch to see places, and the advice he has given saved me a lot of time and helped me find the exact place that I want in a couple of days. Zsolt is very reliable, on time, gets things done quickly and does a good job following up. I would recommend him any day to my friends and family.

I called Zsolt on a Thursday evening after a demoralizing visit to several apartments that cost too much and were not at all what I wanted. The next day he showed me a number of apartments that were much closer to what I had in mind. Throughout those visits, we discussed what I wanted in more and more detail, and he was able to adjust the plan on the fly. On Saturday morning I signed a lease for a beautiful apartment in a building and neighborhood that I have always loved but didn't know was accessible for my price range. Next time I move (although I'm not sure why I would ever want to leave my new place) I am going to call Zsolt. He was all I could ask for in a broker.

Zsolt helped us find our great apartment. From the moment I spoke with Zsolt he was very friendly, professional, and accommodating. I must have changed my appointment with him 10 times, and at all times he was flexible and available. He also kept his promise in his Craigslist posting that he would give me a free iPhone when I signed a lease to a 2 bedroom apartment. I definitely appreciated his integrity and professionalism. I definitely recommend Zsolt.

When I spoke to Zsolt for the first time during the stressful period of looking for an apartment, I found him to exemplify qualities most New York brokers did not: friendliness, honesty, kindness, and a passion for finding his clients exactly waht they are looking for. Above all, Zsolt listened to our wants, needs, and limitations, and he found us the apartment of our dreams that ended up being cheaper than we had budgeted. Throughout the process, Zsolt maintained professionalism, integrity, and made apartment hunging/lease signing as minimally stressful as possible. Zsolt has my highest recommendation, and I can't imagine ever working with another broker now that I have worked with Zsolt!

Zsolt is the broker you should use if you have specifics in your head about
what your apartment should be. I gave Zsolt a specific list of what I
wanted (laundry, elevator, close to the 6 train) and he followed my "rules"
exactly, did not waste my time and was friendly none the less. During our
appointments there was no pressure to take the apartments, he did not
answer any one else's calls and always acted as if he was part of my team.
If you're going to pay a broker fee you might as well pay it to an honest,
genuine, supportive broker like Zsolt.

Dear Val,
I was referred to Zsolt from a friend of mine because I wanted to move into Manhattan, but wasn''t completely sure if it would be the best fit for me.
My friend''s advice to me was to write down a list of "must-haves" and the neighborhood I wish to live in along with a price range and send it to Zsolt.
Doubtful anything I was hoping for existed, I received a phone call with wonderful news that there were indeed places that met my expectations.
Zsolt showed me a few apartments around the financial district, each one being better than the next. The last apartment he showed me ended my apartment search.
It was almost as if Zsolt saved the best for last, knowing indeed it was meant for me. The place is absolutely charming and I''ve quickly grown quite accustomed to my new neighborhood.
I have referred Zsolt to anyone I have known beginning an apartment search in Manhattan. I think he is a fabulous broker, who is very understanding and not pushy.
If you know what you want, I can guarantee you he will find it. I''ve never felt more confident and satisfied in any other decision.

Zsolt has been a terrific broker for us.
He is a good listener and it turned out that the 1st apartment he
showed us, was the ideal apartment for us.
He assisted us very well with the paperwork and negotiations with the
landlord.
As we write, we just moved in, and this all happened in less than 4
weeks.
We enjoy our new apartment in the Upper East Side enormously.

Zsolt did a great job providing the service I needed. I have worked with other rental agents who did not listen to what my expectations were. Not only did Zsolt meet them, but exceeding them. I have been living in my new apartment for three weeks and love it. Next time I move I will make sure that I call Zsolt again.
