"I worked with Nadine Maskallis of Anchor Associates, and she was fantastic! I recently moved to Manhattan for a job, and had very little knowledge of apartment searching in this part of the state. My expectations were high and very unrealistic for a recent college graduate, and Nadine really helped put things into perspective for myself. She showed many apartments around my price range in and outside of my "requirements" and that helped narrow down my searching for what I could afford. Nadine was also extremely flexible when it came to the time when she could work with me throughout the day due to that I was down for a very limited time frame of only two afternoons to search. After finding the perfect apartment for myself, I was pressed for time to move in, as my job required me to be available a few days after I got into the city. Nadine was very informative when it came to knowing what I had to have for my application process. With such a short time frame, she told me exactly what I had to have to send to the management company to get a quick application approval from them. While gathering information, I faxed her the material I had, and she let me know quickly if it was acceptable or not to meet the very strict requirements from the management company. Nadine was professional and very fun to have as an apartment "tour-guide". We spent many hours hiking around every part of NYC spanning from the upper east side to the financial district. She showed me many great apartments, and none that were a "waste of time" to look at, as I could see myself living in almost all of them. I would highly recommend her to anyone that asks me for a reference for moving into the city, and I would certainly ask for her help again when I am looking into apartments in the future! "NADINE MASKALLIS was my broker when moving from San Francisco to Manhattan this summer (2012). She was kind, attentive, and so committed to finding me a place to live! Nadine ran up and down the island in the dead of summer (leaving my mother and I to shop and eat while she snagged keys from all over the place) like it was nothing at all. Not only was she exceptionally willing to go the extra mile physically, but she was also an awesome advocate for me. She was very aware of what we wanted (at every apartment she would tell me how far I was from my graduate program''s campus, which subway lines would be best and where they were--which was awesome!) and never strayed from it. If she wanted to show us something a little above our price range, she asked our permission before taking us; which I really appreciated (I have heard horror stories about brokers considering their client''s initial budget something of a "bottom line" rather than top--and Nadine never made me feel pressured to spend more than I wanted to). She ended up finding me the most incredible little studio in Chelsea with a killer view, beautiful old-world charm and in-building laundry (everything I asked for and more!). The value of a broker, especially a good one like Nadine, is that they hit the pavement so that you don''t have to. Nadine knew what I wanted, worked really hard (all the while being calm and kind) and got me what I wanted. I would refer her again and again--she''s well worth the fee, and a ton of fun to work with! You rock, Nadine!"

"This review is for Nadine Maskallis who's amazing. I know some folks have mentioned that they were unhappy with Anchor, but I had a great experience. Nadine is truly a broker who brings detail oriented professionalism, thoughtfulness, and kindness to her work. I literally had 48 hours to find an apartment over a weekend. I reached out to Nadine via email about a week prior to my visit, and she responded almost immediately. We had a very detailed conversation about what I wanted, liked, didn't like, etc; So much so that initially Nadine sent me to another broker with Anchor so I could look at apartments in Brooklyn! In any case, Nadine and I spent the majority of a Saturday together-- I think we may have seen at minimum 20 apartments in one day. And that Sunday, Nadine helped me process my work with the management office, and coordinated with them on my behalf in NYC while I was packing up my things in Washington the weeks following. Seriously, if I could give Nadine 6 stars, I would. This is a woman who not just cares about doing an excellent job as a broker, but truly cares about the people she works with. (To illustrate this, I had a pretty stressful move, and Nadine shot me emails just to see how I was holding up). I'll definitely be using Nadine again when I'm ready to look for a new abode. :)"
